Interactive Session with Dr. Mohd. Maroof Shah

An interactive session for entrepreneurs was held today at CIED-IUST Foundation, under the direction of Director CIED, Prof. Parvez A. Mir.

Prof. Parvez A. Mir inaugurated the interactive session for entrepreneurs. During the inaugural part of the session, Prof. Mir provided participants with an overview of sheep and goat farming practices and discussed the potential for genetic engineering and biotech advancements in sheep breeding.

Dr. Mohammad Maroof Shah, Chairman of the Department of Biotechnology, delivered a brief session on sheep and goat farming as a business startup. He addressed participants' queries about sheep farming, biotech applications, and starting up businesses. Dr. Shah engaged participants in discussions about ethical considerations and regulatory challenges in biotech startups and highlighted the role of biotechnology in shaping the future of agriculture and food production. He also encouraged further exploration and research in biotech entrepreneurship.

The session aimed to equip young entrepreneurs, especially STEM students, with practical skills and knowledge for effectively managing business finances.

The session was facilitated by an experienced trainer specializing in Business, who brought a wealth of practical knowledge to share. Through interactive learning activities and personalized guidance, participants gained practical skills that are directly applicable to their entrepreneurial endeavors.

Overall, the session was interactive, featuring cooperative group activities, discussions, and real-life exercises for applying the concepts to participants’ businesses.
