IUST
The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, J&K has been established through an Act No. XVIII of 2005 dated: 7th November 2005 passed by J&K State Legislature and notified by the State Government, through Jammu & Kashmir Government Gazette dated: 11-11-2005. While the university started functioning in November, 2005 the teaching programme was started in July 2006. The Chancellor of the University is the Lieuteutant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and the executive authority of the University is its Executive Council with the Vice Chancellors of University of Jammu, University of Kashmir and Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University as members. The University is accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘B+’ and is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and Section 12(b) of UGC Act. The Technical and nursing programmes offered by the University are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Indian Nursing Council (INC). The University has the membership of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University came into existence with a mandate to advance and disseminate knowledge, wisdom and understanding amongst all segments of the society within and outside the State. It is also charged with creating an environment for learning, teaching and research in the sciences, technology, humanities and social sciences and that is in keeping with the highest standards of scholarship and higher education.
SIDBI
Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) set up on 2nd April 1990 under an Act of Indian Parliament, acts as the Principal Financial Institution for Promotion,Financing and Development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector as well as for co-ordination of functions of institutions engaged in similar activities.
DPIIT
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) was established in the year 1995 and was reconstituted in the year 2000 with the merger of the Department of Industrial Development. The department was earlier called Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion and was renamed as DPIIT in January, 2019. In 2018, matters related to e-commerce were transferred to the Department and in 2019, the Department has been given charge for matters related to Internal Trade, welfare of traders and their employees and Startups. The mandate for integrated development of Logistic Sector has also been allocated to DPIIT in November, 2021. The role of DPIIT is to promote industrial Development of the Country by facilitating investment in new and upcoming technology, accelerate & foreign direct investment and support a balanced development of industries & trade.
DST
The Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Government of India's National Initiative for Development and Harnessing Innovations (NIDHI) program includes the Inclusive Technology Business Incubators (i-TBIs). NIDHI iTBI DST scheme aims to provide financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization to enable these startups to graduate to a level where they will be able to raise investments successfully and expand their businesses sustainably in competitive markets.
