The Centre for Industry 4.0 (C4i4) Lab is focused on creating widespread and definitive awareness of the industrial revolution among the Indian manufacturing industry. By integrating cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, the lab aims to bridge the gap between traditional manufacturing practices and modern, digital solutions. The C4i4 Lab’s vision is to be recognized as a world-class centre for promoting innovation and adoption of Industry 4.0 solutions to enhance the global competitiveness of the industry. Set up as part of the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India’s national initiative – SAMARTH (Smart Automated Manufacturing and Rapid Transformation Hub), C4i4 aims to promote digital transformation in the manufacturing sector. The lab works closely with industry partners to implement these advancements. Beginning with the selection of an industry partner (in the present case IUST), the establishment of the model factory and the training of personnel from the industry partner organization is undertaken. Once the human resource has been trained, they can then cater to the local industries.
