The Two-Day Business Fest 2.0, organized by the Department of Business Administration, School of Business Studies, in association with CIED-IUST Foundation and the Centre for Promotion of Micro and Small Businesses, was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo. This event aims to transform the university into a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, with aspirations to become a skill-based university.

Kalam Academy of Skill Development and Training (KAST) has already been established with the mission of training 30 students in a career-oriented skill program over the next year.

Registrar Prof. Waseem Bari also encouraged students to elevate their business endeavors to the next level, aiming for them to become employers rather than employees.

Dean of the School of Business Studies and Head of the Department, Prof. Parvez A. Mir, emphasized that IUST provides the best innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem, a fact recognized nationally over the years.

The event was coordinated smoothly by Dr. Mohd Iqbal Khan and his team, and it ran successfully over the two days.

The Business Fest 1.0 promoted entrepreneurship and innovation among students, inspiring them to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and turn their ideas into reality. It facilitated meaningful interactions between academia and industry, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

In conclusion, the Two-Day Business Fest 1.0 organized by the Department of Business Administration, School of Business Studies, in collaboration with CIED-IUST Foundation and the Centre for Promotion of Micro and Small Businesses, was a resounding success. It showcased the entrepreneurial talent of students and laid the foundation for a more innovative and entrepreneurial university ecosystem.
