The Skill and Capacity Development Cell (SCDC) of the CIED IUST Foundation organized a one-day skill-mapping program at Govt Higher Secondary School and Govt Middle School Panzgam. The program was attended by both students and teachers, with the primary goal of identifying essential entrepreneurial skills such as creativity, problem-solving, communication, financial literacy, and resilience. The initiative included practical workshops and activities aimed at developing these skills, along with an overview of entrepreneurship—highlighting the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and the importance of entrepreneurial abilities.
Dr. Darakshan Majid, Coordinator of SCDC, conducted an informative session for students, raising awareness about the skill development programs. She provided guidance on accessing resources, finding mentors, and connecting with networks that can aid in skill development. Dr. Majid also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and skill enhancement for personal and professional growth.
Dr. Monisa Qadri, a member of SCDC, informed students about the program’s objectives and the target audience required for entrepreneurial success. She showcased a range of entrepreneurs from different industries, backgrounds, and regions, including well-known figures and lesser-known but impactful individuals.
Programs like these are designed to inspire students to take proactive steps toward developing their skills and capacities, empowering them to succeed in their chosen fields or professions.
