The visit aimed to enhance the students’ understanding of innovative practices, entrepreneurship, and career development within the framework of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development (CIED) at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST). This outreach program served as an important learning experience, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between higher education institutions.
Mr. Syed Abdul interacted with the students, sharing his expertise on the significance of innovation in today’s fast-paced world. He emphasized the critical role of innovative thinking in addressing real-world problems and shaping successful business ventures. He also highlighted the funding opportunities provided by CIED to innovators and entrepreneurs. He explained how the foundation supports early-stage startups by offering financial aid, mentorship, and infrastructure to help them scale their ideas and turn them into viable businesses.
Additionally, he discussed the application process for funding, the types of projects that are most likely to receive support, and the criteria for selection. This session gave students a clear understanding of how they can leverage CIED-IUST’s resources to launch their own innovative projects.
Mr. Adnan Ali Khan delivered a session focused on the newly introduced skill development courses offered by CIED-IUST. These courses are designed to enhance the capabilities of students, particularly in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. He emphasized the importance of practical skills such as digital literacy, project management, business planning, and problem-solving for students aiming to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. He also explained how these courses provide students with hands-on experience that is crucial for launching and managing successful businesses.
