The Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Entrepreneurship Development was held at CIED-IUST Foundation under the direction of Director CIED, Prof. Parvez A. Mir.
Prof. Parvez A. Mir inaugurated the faculty development program on entrepreneurship. During the inaugural session, Prof. Mir introduced the newly appointed faculty members and explained how a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is designed to train and develop professionals in entrepreneurship. This enables them to act as resource persons, guiding and motivating young Science and Technology (S&T) individuals to pursue entrepreneurship as a career. He emphasized that the aim of the FDP is to instill an entrepreneurial mindset among faculty members, helping them learn how to identify and nurture the entrepreneurial potential in students, encouraging them to explore innovative ideas and pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
Dr. Mehak, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, discussed the significance of the FDP on Entrepreneurship Development. She highlighted that the FDP plays a crucial role in preparing professionals to guide and motivate young individuals in Science and Technology (S&T) to consider entrepreneurship as a career choice.
Overall, FDPs are instrumental in developing a pool of knowledgeable and motivated faculty members who can effectively inspire and guide young individuals in the S&T field to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable and rewarding career path.
