Industrial Visit to Khanmoh Srinagar

Under the direction of Prof. Parvez A. Mir, Director of the CIED-IUST Foundation, a group of entrepreneurs from the STEM (Skill to Enterprise Model) course participated in an industrial visit to the Khanmoh Industrial Estate, Srinagar.
The visit included a tour of the Mughal Darbar Industry, where the owner, Mr. Arshid Ahmad, warmly welcomed the young entrepreneurs. He introduced them to the world of food processing, stating, "Today, we embark on an insightful journey into the heart of food processing at Mughal Darbar Industrial Unit. This visit promises to be an enlightening experience as we explore various food processing machines, equipment, and witness the entire system of food material processing."
During the interaction, Mr. Ahmad provided participants with an overview of the company's history, mission, and scope of operations in the food processing industry. He educated the students on critical aspects such as raw material reception and storage, food processing machinery and equipment, packaging processes, and quality control measures.
This kind of hands-on learning experience is crucial for understanding the practical aspects of how businesses operate in real-world settings. Such exposure is especially valuable for students interested in entrepreneurship and innovation.
The visit to the Mughal Darbar Industrial Unit enriched the participants' understanding of food processing technologies and inspired innovative thinking.
